All about our eyewear

Where do your frames come from?

We rescue forgotten sunglasses and eyeglasses from the lonely darkness of storage facilities around the world so they can find a new home in Revival—and eventually with you.

We source our frames from Japan, Austria, Germany, and France.

What types of frames do you sell?

Looking for Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Dior, or other designer brands? We’ve got you covered. Interested in steampunk sunnies, classic cat-eye frames, or Golden Girls-inspired specs? You’ve come to the right place.

In other words, we have a little bit of everything from the 1960s through the early 2000s—and it’s all extremely bitchin’.

Can I customize my frames?

Absolutely! We created our shop around the concept of personalization. We’ll help you create a distinct pair of shades through custom prescriptions, tints, transitions, and more. You got options, baby!

All about deadstock vintage

What is deadstock?

Deadstock vintage is a term used to describe items from another era that were never sold or worn. In this case, it’s eyewear that’s decades old but completely unworn—often with original tags and packaging!

You won’t find a single replica, reproduction, or “retro” item at Revival. Every pair of frames in our shop is true vintage, manufactured  between the 1960s and the early 2000s. We’re the only deadstock vintage eyewear boutique in San Diego.

Why deadstock vintage frames over new stuff?

With deadstock vintage eyewear, you’re getting the best of both worlds: authentic, vintage frames that are also unworn and in mint condition. Not to mention, vintage eyewear was crafted with quality materials and care that’s unmatched in modern frames.

Our products also require no new resources to manufacture, so supporting Revival also means you’re supporting sustainability. By shopping vintage, you’re bypassing fast fashion and making the choice to live more sustainably. Go you!

Prescriptions, insurance, & returns

Can I get prescription frames at Revival?

You sure can. We’re licensed opticians who can fill whatever prescription you need in our full-service lab. We also offer same-day service in most cases if you need your frames, like, now.

Do you accept insurance?

While we don’t accept insurance at this time, we’ll happily work with you to submit for reimbursement with your insurance company.

You can also use your HSA or FSA on Revival eyewear.

What’s your return policy?

FRAMES: It’ll keep us up at night if we know you aren’t happy with your frames. Therefore, we offer a full refund within 7 days of purchase; exchange/store credit within 30 days of purchase. Items must be in their original condition with their original packaging.

LENSES: 50% refund on all lenses. Non-adapted progressive lenses can be exchanged for single vision, bifocal, or trifocal at no additional cost. No refund will be given if replaced with another lens type.

Revival will re-do your lenses until they are perfect.

SALE ITEMS: All perfectly imperfect, sale items, and partially refunded frames cannot be exchanged or refunded.

What is the warranty on the lenses?

All of our lenses include premium, non-glare coating, superhydrophobic coating and UV protection.

All lenses include a two-year warranty from the date of purchase. This includes manufacturer defects as well as scratches.
